Reminder: The Cortlandt Brain is Here for You (Use it!)
It was great to be on the road last week. I had the pleasure of meeting with Cortlandt members in San Francisco and Los Angeles, both one-on-one and in small group settings, learning about new projects, making introductions and shepherding collaborations. I’ve discovered connections between members that I was unaware of… and discovered two members who had been connected professionally, unaware that they were both Cortlandt members.
This latter happenstance merits further discussion. While I’m happy that two members found each other - one member seeking an expert witness, the other an experienced expert witness on exactly the right subject matter - after an introduction by a third party, it’s exactly the type of connection that I’d hope could be found more readily by tapping into Cortlandt.
Cortlandt is a deep reservoir of knowledge and connectivity: relationships, subject matter expertise, introductions, ideas, in addition to third party resources. As a member, you are privileged to have access to it, so please don’t hesitate to use it! My role is to help you navigate Cortlandt in ways that are comfortable and productive for you. Sometimes I’ll know exactly who to call and other times we’ll strategize on how to tap into the network at large.
Finding a subject matter expert is exactly the type of inquiry we had in mind when we created the Members Are Asking section of this digest. While odds are low that a Cortlandt member will be the answer to any specific question, I’ll venture that given the breadth of knowledge and experience within Cortlandt, the odds are high that a Cortlandt member will know where to find the answer.
